Livingston Manor, NY – The hamlet’s food choices are set to expand once again when Little North Catskills is expected to open in May on Old Rte. 17 across from KC’s Airport.
Little North is the creation of Stacy Adimando, a well-known food writer and editor. She received her culinary degree from the Institute of Culinary Arts in New York City and spent five years as food editor at Rachael Ray’s eponymous magazine, and later as editor-in-chief at Saveur, a magazine about food cultures from all over the world. She has also authored several books, including having received a James Beard award for her book Nopalito: A Mexican Kitchen, co-authored with chef Gonzalo Guzmán.
As described by Adimando, Little North will be a farm-focused kitchen and market with a rotisserie serving whole chickens, potatoes and fresh side dishes that will change daily and will be inspired by local produce in season.
The establishment will be open year-round, morning to night, and will also serve soups, salads and prepared meals, coffee plus espresso drinks and bakery goods. The restaurant’s liquor license was just approved by the Rockland town board, so the venue will also have the option to serve alcoholic beverages. In addition, Little North will have a large outdoor seating area and take-away options.
