AMBITIOUS PROPOSAL The plan for a saki brewery on the site of the former Keiser Restaurant Equipment Co. property.

Plans for Keiser property include saki brewery

Livingston Manor, NY – Renowned restaurateur Bon Yagi, owner of the former Keiser Restaurant Equipment Co. property on Pleasant Street in the hamlet, apparently has big plans for the site.

Though he has yet to make a formal presentation to the Town of Rockland Planning Board, Yagi has shared a schematic of the proposed complex centered around a saki brewery. Saki is a traditional Japanese wine made from fermented rice, and the brewery will feature a special tasting room. Also included in the complex are park spaces, shop complexes, a restaurant, hotel and worker housing.

Yagi purchased the Keiser site in 2018, but it has remained dormant since that time. The resurgence of interest in the hamlet may have inspired the brewery proposal.
