Updated: How we can help our local businesses
Along with the increasingly distressing news about the coronavirus contagion and its threat to our health, there is also the shocking downturn of the nation’s economy. Locally, Gov. Cuomo’s mandate that non-essential businesses close has had a profound effect on shops and services here in Livingston Manor and around the county. Though the county is now moving into Phase One of the governor’s reopening program, we all still want to aid our friends and neighbors who operate shops and restaurants in our hamlet. Most are offering special services during these challenging economic times, and we’ve collected a list of merchants and the strategies being employed. However we can help them will benefit our entire community. To that end, the Sullivan Catskills Visitors Association is offering special gift certificates to support SCVA members. To purchase, visit sullivancatskills.com and choose a business to support. For every $100 spent, the SCVA will add a $25 bonus. Multiple gift certificates may be purchased, but this is a limited time offer.
