Livingston Manor, NY – It was a romantic evening for Livingston Manor Central School students and their Valentine dates, a party in the Old Gym titled the “Someone Special Dance.” These dates were indeed special, because they were parents, and they’d been invited by their LMCS grade school sons and daughters.

Everyone dressed for the occasion which took place on Friday evening, Feb. 17. It featured a Kissing and Photo booths as well as DJ’d music and a table of delectable sweets for sweethearts. Dancing and cavorting was nearly nonstop once the music started, with attendees free-forming as well as executing surprisingly well coordinated line dances. The gym was decorated with scores of red balloons, heart festooned garlands and even sets of heart-shaped string lights.

Nearly 50 couples attended, and the evening was declared a success by all. Love was in the air, and young and old agreed that it was a delight to dance with “someone special.” To see a video of the high stepping, visit manor-ink.org/current-issue.
