New Age spa given a new life as Hemlock
FSH completes year-long renovation

Neversink, NY – Last year, Manor Ink visited what once was the very popular New Age Health Spa. The resulting story, published in the November 2022 edition, reported that the former resort was very run down. But it also covered the start of an extensive renovation by Foster Supply Hospitality that would bring the place back to an operable spa while honoring its past.
There has been a lot of progress since then, and the resort has been renamed and is now open for business. The spa, now known as Hemlock, already proved popular on its opening weekend of Oct. 13 to Oct. 15, with more than half of the 33 available rooms booked.
The 230-acre campus includes most of what is expected of a peaceful wellness retreat, including the spa (of course), hiking trails, a gym and several activities that visitors can participate in during the day. And all that being in the heart of the beautiful Catskill Mountains just adds to the experience.
FSH is still completing renovations that would add additional things to do at Hemlock, like an indoor pool and hot tub; an activities building, which would be the place for “mindful crafts” such as pottery, woodworking and quilting; and the goat fields, a location for spending time with furry critters for “goat therapy,” a pastime that is said to boost people’s moods.
Hemlock guests and members of the public can also enjoy on-site, locally-sourced farm-to-table dining at the resort’s restaurant, Bittersweet. The restaurant will be available to for reservations in December.
