Parksville, NY – Work has recently begun on the former Charlie’s Pizzeria building in Parksville. Bruce Davidson, owner of that structure and the old Fiddle’s Dari King on the corner of Old Rte. 17 and Short Ave., said that a restaurant will be returning to that building while a fresh vegetables and fruit market will be going into the old ice cream stand. “I think the reopening of two new businesses will help bring people back to the village,” said Davidson

Davidson added that the grounds will be nicely restored, with new landscaping to include a plaque showing the history of the site under the Fiddle family. “My aim is to help revitalize Parksville, just as we have seen new businesses sprout up in Liberty with the restoration of the Liberty Theater building.”

An entrepreneur has been found for the market while a search for a tenant for the restaurant is underway.
