The 142nd Grahamsville Little World’s Fair was definitely a lot of fun for all who attended.
Held over the weekend of Aug. 19 to 21, this renowned traditional country fair featured craft and agricultural displays in the exhibit barns, 4-H livestock competitions, live music and entertainment, classic fair food and rides and concessions on the midway.
For much of the weekend, the weather cooperated with sunny skies. A short thunderstorm on Saturday afternoon contributed to the celebration by ending with a bright rainbow.
All three days were filled with excitement. In addition to the rides and entertainment, there were games, racing pigs, scavenger hunts, fireworks displays and watermelon eating contests. In the Youth Fair, 4-Hers competed for prizes with science exhibits and handicraft creations. In the Craft Barn, artisans demonstrated their various crafts.
People of all ages enjoyed Grahamsville’s Little World’s Fair, proving that traditional fun and activities still have a place in our busy world. And there was really good food!
Here are a few memorable moments from the weekend festival.
