It happens to be New York State’s longest-running independent country fair, and this year marked its 145th redux. The Grahamsville Little World’s Fair took over the hamlet’s fairgrounds on Friday, Aug. 15, for three days of animal competitions; agricultural, horticultural and gustatorial exhibits; live music; demonstrations; rides; and carney food to suit all tastes.

The weather was fine, and crowds thronged the midway, exhibit sheds, animal barns and staging areas. Younger fairgoers enjoyed the Ferris wheel, tilt-a-whirl, bumper cars and other thrills, while young farmers proudly paraded their animals before the judges. The fair was once again hosted by the Neversink Agricultural Society, and once again was a hit of the summer season.
