Let’s make back-to-school cool
By Lilly Lynker | Manor Ink
The new school year gets underway this month, and while many kids are eager to return to RCS’s classrooms and see their friends, others may not be so happy to see summer vacation end. So, here are five trendy back-to-school ideas to help make the transition a bit easier.
1. Owalas: Owalas are water bottles that come in hundreds of different color options and designs. They are affordable, spillproof, keep your water cold for 48 hours and you can drink from it with the straw or chug your water directly from its open top.
2. Make your own pencil case: You can get any color pencil case and draw whatever design you want. You can make it match your personality, your favorite colors or an animal you like.
3. Fashionable clothes: Clothes that you think are going to make you stand out more or look cooler are perfect for launching a new school year. Even thrift stores have great clothing options. A story on page 15 in last month’s paper was all about fashion this summer, and there may be some good style ideas there, too.
4. Locker decoration: Look into getting shelves, whiteboards and mirrors. You can get them in just about any color and even some patterns. They are really great if your locker is small and you need more room.
5. Haircuts or style changes: You know how some people say new year, new me? Basically, the same thing is trendy, but for the start of school instead. Getting a new haircut or changing from black and white to blue and pink can make a huge difference – whether it’s in your confidence or happiness.
So, fellow students, there are five really trendy and cool back-to-school ideas. See you in class!
